Background: Vinay Hanumaiah received his MTech degree in Microelectronics from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal in 2007 and B.E degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore in 2005. He earned his PhD in the department of Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University, working on projects through the Center for Embedded Systems, including investigating methods to improve the energy efficiency and performance for a large class of computing devices - from data centers to smartphones. He now works in industry as a senior software engineer for Samsung Information Systems America in the Silicon Valley.Northern California.

Research Interests: Thermal management of multi-core processors and data centers

Background: Ramtin received his bachelors in Computer Engineering from Shiraz University (Shiraz, Iran) in 2007 with concentration in hardware design. He started his masters in Computer Science at Arizona State University in 2011 focusing on embedded systems design. Ramtin joined the Cyber Physical Systems Lab in August 2011 and began working on robotics and embedded systems research under supervision of Professor Georgios Fainekos. Working with many robotic systems such as NAO robots, iRobot Create, Lego Mindstorms, Microsoft Kinect, Robot Operating System and many other sensors, actuators, programming languages/environments and simulation software, he acquired great experience and insight about robotics. Finishing his thesis on Model-based automatic code generation for NAO robots, he graduated in October 2013 and joined OSISoft company as a Software Developer.

Research Interests: Embedded Systems Programming, model-based design of robotic systems, automatic code generation for robotic applications, real-time systems
